யான் பிறந்தேன் - I was born

நித்த நித்தம் துயின்றேழுந்து
புத்தியில்லா புல்லருடன் போக்கி
அத்தமித்தவுடன் விழு பணத்தை
கல்லை மண்ணை தொழுதற்கோ
யான் பிறந்தேன்?

To wake up everyday,
And live with monumental idiots,
And to wait for the sunset when I
Pray to money and stone and sand -
Is this why I was born?
